Preparing for Uncertainty

A Framework to minimize the impact of disaster and societal change

The last 75 years of relative peace is a cultural abnormality. The focus of this book begins with the events that have the highest likelihood of occurring in your daily life under current circumstances: house fire, financial distress, and crime. Then it moves on to what many today are considering our inevitable future: civil unrest, and gray zone warfare. The secondary effects of these are addressed in detail, including shelter, food, water, energy, security, communication, medical and sanitation with the understanding that most people live in an urban environment with no realistic plans of heading to the mountains when a crisis comes.

This book will give you a practical step-by-step plan to increase your preparedness for disruptions, give you the tools to gather and analyze intelligence, and recognize when others are attempting to manipulate you.

Guerrilla’s Ranger Handbook

This book is primarily based on the 2017 Edition of the Ranger Handbook that still included the Survival and Evasion chapter. Sections not relevant to Guerrilla Operations or those that relied on Governmental support such as aircraft or related munitions were removed.

The manual was then heavily modified with relevant chapters from Special Forces Operational Techniques (1988), and Special Forces Sniper Training and Employment (2003) to form a more cohesive, one-stop handbook for the small team operating without a government supporting or financing them.

Chapters include; Leadership, Operations, Movement, Patrols, Battle Drills, Defensive Operations, Tracking, Sniping, Land Navigation, Military Mountaineering, Convoy Operations, Urban Operations, Waterborne Operations, Evasion/Survival, Caching, First Aid, and Field Expedient Printing Techniques.

They don’t say, “I have a few hours on Thursday afternoon; maybe I will get lucky.”

They are always looking.
